Ray Wiley Hubbard ("Screw You, We're From Texas"). I reckon its OK. Kenny isn't as homely as Willie Nelson, sings better than Hank Jr. and he's more than just a flavor of the week. Our band used to play a couple of his songs.
You have to learn to play all kinds of stuff, even if your group is not really a "cover" band or one that follows the Top 40.
Ferinstance, while playing out in San Patricio, TX, an old Mexican approached me and asked if I knew how to play, "Chupica". Now, I've been around Mexican music, and can play a couple of folk tunes but I'd never heard of "Chupica". You also have to be a P.R. guy when you front a band so I told the old guy that I didn't think I'd heard it, could he 'hum a few bars'.

He tells me, " You know it, Mikey, it goes,"Chupica fine time to leave me, Lucille...."
I guess if I look like Kenny I ought to be able to sing "Chupica", right?
